ABOUT

Saile Johanna Langsepp has graduated from Vanemuine Dance- and Balletschool and Tallinn University Faculty of Choreography (cum laude). She has also studied medieval, renaissance and baroque dance (starting with Jane Gingell from England), internal styles of Chinese martial arts (from Chinese master Zhang Shangmin) and participated in various workshops of contemporary dance. She has also studied Indian classical dance style Bharatanatyam from Triinu Heinsoo and Maare-Marika Heinsoo. Saile has performed in different theatres in Estonia and participated in many dance-projects in Estonia and abroad. She has also been part of the Goltsman Ballet troupe. Now Saile is working as a freelance dancer-choreographer and is engaged in different collaborations. She has also started publishing her written works.

Starting from 2017 she has delved into the field of movements connected with knowledge and mysticism of the ancient cultures, especially sufi music and mystical poetry connected to that. Currently is studying in master’s programme, focusing on research of sacred dance.

In her dance, different times, styles and cultures are weaved into one fabric – through movements of human body.

For her, dance and dynamic movement in space have always been the endless creative potential to say and share important things which can’t be expressed any other way. This universal language of movement doesn’t know any boundaries, making it perfect for showing the dimensions of life which reach far beyond the words.

This unique artform, which connects all – body, mind and soul – allows to give back to people the inspiration which the world has given to artist.

Praegu õpib magistrantuuris, keskendudes sakraalse tantsu uurimisele. Ühtlasi on alustanud oma kirjalike tööde avaldamist.

Saile tantsus põimuvad erinevate stiilide, ajastute ja kultuuride pärand. Tants on suurepärane vahend väljendamaks sõnatut ning muutmaks nähtavaks lõputut inspiratsiooni ja rikkust, mida elu endas sisaldab.
